by D9 Therapy
In D9 Therapy, we specialize in helping you with your addiction. We believe that everyone deserves a life free from addiction and we're here to support you in early recovery.
We see addiction not just as a challenge of substance use but as a deeper issue, knowing that it is based on your specific needs, pain, and the search for connection. we recognize that at the core of addiction lies a deep-seated need for love, acceptance, and understanding.
Our addiction-trained therapists at D9 Therapy are more than just professionals in their field; they truly care about the impact that addiction has on your life, finances, family and the way that you may look at life. With extensive education and training in the dynamics of addiction, they bring both expertise and empathy to each session.
We believe that healing from addiction requires addressing the root causes, not just the symptoms. It's about understanding the stories behind the substance use, the stories of our lives.
One of our therapists, Ian, has had first-hand experience with dealing with addiction and recovery. Through his struggles, he has learnt how to manage the complexities that addiction brings, and he is dedicated to meeting you where you are at and open to talk to you about what would be best for you to recover.
Wiktoria has experience working in an addiction centre, where she has facilitated groups, presented workshop, and undertaken specialized training in addiction. In addition, she has worked for the inner-city task force, looking at addiction in a broader sense.
Our approach is as unique as you are. We delve into the emotional and psychological aspects of addiction, exploring areas of trauma, disconnection, and unmet needs. Our therapies are not just about coping strategies, they're about nurturing a deep sense of self-awareness and self-love.
We offer:
Individual Therapy: Talk about your personal experiences with a therapist who listens with an open heart with no judgment.
Group Therapy: Find strength in shared stories and the solidarity of others who understand your journey.
Holistic Practices: Embrace healing practices that connect mind, body, and spirit, from mindfulness to meditation.
When we think about addiction, we should ask "Not why the addiction but why the pain."
At D9 Therapy, we seek to uncover and heal the pain that lies beneath, offering a path to a life filled with more than just sobriety—a life filled with meaning, connection, and joy.
You Are Not Alone If you're feeling lost in the grip of addiction, remember, the path to healing is never walked alone. We are here to offer you the support, understanding, and expertise you need to navigate your way out of addiction. Our therapists are here to guide you, every step of the way, towards a future where you can embrace life fully and freely.

“It’s Just a Nail”: How Small Boundaries Can Turn Into Big Problems

Another man comes to him and asks if he can buy a tiny, nail-sized piece of the wall. It feels almost meaningless—just a single nail-sized space in a vast home. The owner hesitates for a moment, but the offer is good and the request seems so small that he eventually agrees.

Work is stable. Relationships are functioning. Daily life is manageable. Yet internally, there’s a sense of pressure, exhaustion, or emotional overload that doesn’t fully make sense. This is becoming increasingly common. The modern kind of overwhelm isn’t always dramaticWe often expect overwhelm to come from big life events—loss, crisis, or major change. But many people today are experiencing a quieter, ongoing form of emotional overload.
