Seán — Student Counsellor (PCI College)

Hi Im Seán, I have a background as a support worker in Social Care in a range of different services including homelessness, addiction, foster care and mental health.

Through this I have worked with people who have faced issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, isolation and substance abuse. These experiences have inspired me to continue my work helping others to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth, through one on one therapy.

I work with a person-centered approach providing a warm, safe and supportive environment.

I believe there is great importance in working collaboratively, and I will be with you step by step on this journey. I understand coming to therapy can be difficult and some people may not know where to begin. I'm here to help you and support you with whatever you bring and am committed to build a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Whether it is stress, deep rooted trauma, anxiety, family or relationship issues I'm here to offer a space to explore, reflect and process these difficult issues and emotions. So that you feel comfortable in choosing the right therapist and to see if we are a good fit, I offer a 15 minute call where we can discuss your needs, how we’ll work together and answer any questions you may have.

I have a bachelor honours degree (level 8) in Social and Community Development and about to start my 3rd year in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am a pre-accredited psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Committed to upholding ethical standards, I attend regular supervision to support my own professional development and enrich my practice. I adhere to the code of ethics outlined by the IACP
