Liam Meates – Person-Centred Counsellor and Art Therapist

I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore life's challenges at your own pace. My practice is rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when they feel genuinely heard and understood. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I work collaboratively with you to help you reconnect with your strengths and move towards a more fulfilling life.

My Therapeutic Approaches:

My work is primarily Person Centred, meaning I place your unique experience at the heart of therapy and believe the therapeutic relationship is a vital part of effective therapy.

I also integrate:

Art Therapy – using creative expression when words feel difficult and to use art making to self regulate and gain new insight into ourselves.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – helping you develop psychological flexibility, reduce struggle with difficult thoughts and feelings, and live in line with your values.

Mindfulness-Informed Therapy – supporting greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and presence in everyday life.

Every session is tailored to your individual needs, goals, and preferences.
