Edyta — B.A. (Hons) in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy (Trainee)
Holistic Counselling & Psychotherapy Student
Hi, I’m Edyta. I am studying a holistic approach to psychotherapy at the International College of Personal and Professional Development in Dublin.
Healing through psychotherapy requires a holistic approach. In my therapy, I meet and support the person on physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional levels. I believe that every individual has an inner ability to heal when supported by the conditions of the Person-Centred Approach. I include these core conditions in my work: congruence and honesty, unconditional positive regard, a non-judgmental space, empathy, and compassion.
Additionally, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Gestalt Therapy, Holistic Approaches (including mindfulness, art, and body movement), Loss and Bereavement Therapy, Psychosynthesis, and Family and Systemic Approaches.
I believe that our life development continues for as long as we are alive. Along the way, we encounter many challenges, and at times professional help can be essential. It is often said that there is no better healer than the wounded healer, and my passion for helping others comes from my own experiences and existential challenges. I work with clients who are searching for meaning, experiencing anxiety, depression, fear, mood changes, stress and burnout, loneliness, loss and bereavement, or trauma.
I am a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and attend regular supervision to support my professional development and enrich my practice.
I am looking forward to seeing you.
