Ian Croft – Therapist

I'm a therapist who values the potential within every individual. I believe that people hold the key to their own solutions, and my role is to help you discover your inner resilience. I work with the person, not just the presenting issue, and I’m committed to creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can safely explore your thoughts and feelings.

Through thoughtful questioning and active listening, I help clients recognise their own strengths, challenge limiting beliefs, and shift the patterns that no longer serve them. My aim is to support you in moving toward the life you truly want to live.

My sessions are proactive and goal-oriented, offering support for a range of challenges including stress, feeling stuck, low motivation, workplace issues, bullying, addiction, and navigating the complexities of ADHD or OCD. I also support clients in setting clear goals, developing focus, and building confidence during periods of transition or personal growth.

The approaches I draw from are practical, flexible, and grounded in evidence. Positive psychology informs much of my work, helping clients identify and build on their existing strengths while fostering optimism, resilience, and self-belief. For those open to it, I also integrate spirituality—whether that means exploring a sense of meaning, purpose, or inner peace—into the process in a way that feels authentic and personally relevant.

In addition, I work with short-term intervention models that focus on identifying what's most important right now. These methods are solution-focused and collaborative, helping you make real progress, even within a limited number of sessions. Whether you're working on a specific goal or trying to shift long-standing patterns, our work together is designed to support forward movement.

Whatever you're facing, therapy with me is about creating momentum, finding clarity, and building the inner strength to move forward with intention and purpose.
