Aoife Murphy — Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I hold a BA in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Degree in History, Religion with Education, and a Graduate Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling. My training allows me to bring a broad and balanced perspective to the therapeutic space, weaving together academic insight with compassionate practice.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on Humanistic, CBT, Client-Centred, Choice Theory, and Solution-Focused models. This flexibility means that I can meet each client where they are, offering both understanding and practical strategies to support growth. I believe this dual approach helps clients not only to deepen self-awareness but also to make meaningful, values-driven decisions about their lives.
With seven years’ experience working with young people, I provide a warm, non-judgemental, and client-centred space for adolescents. I support clients in navigating academic pressures, anxiety, eating disorders, bullying, school refusal, and the challenges of a neurodiverse diagnosis. At the heart of my work is a commitment to seeing the whole person — recognising the links between personal wellbeing, identity, relationships, and career direction.
In our sessions, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where complex and often difficult issues can be explored. By combining practical tools with empathy, I aim to help you find relief from what may be holding you back and to build confidence in who you are, paving the way for greater clarity and resilience.
